Database Administrator Apprentice - Centrepoint
Centrepoint is the UK's leading charity for homeless young people, supporting over 10,000 16-25-year-olds into a home and a job every year. Centrepoint staff are dedicated to making sure they can help every homeless young person that comes through their door, from support workers to fundraising, to finance and their board. They are now looking for a Salesforce Administrator Apprentice to join their team!
Key Responsibilities
The Database Administrator is primarily responsible for supporting In-Form, a client relationship system built by Homeless Link (based on a Salesforce platform), and further developed by Centrepoint and their developer partners.
Centrepoint is a ‘Psychologically Informed Environment’ (PIE) organisation, which is evidence-based, reflective and collaborative, and which places ‘relationships’ at the heart of delivery.
The Database Administrator will therefore be required to attend PIE training relevant to their role, will have the opportunity to engage in monthly reflective practice sessions within their team as well as other PIE initiatives (e.g. research projects / physical environments) as appropriate.
The role will also help the Head of Data, Insight and Performance develop a positive, proactive and supportive team culture.
Overview of Role
Primarily, the Database Administrator will support the Database Manager with the following areas of responsibility:
- In-Form Support, Guidance and Training
- Managing Users and Change Control
- Reports, Dashboards and Workflows
- Maintaining and Developing Custom Applications
The Database Administrator will also support the Database Manager with the following:
- Compliance, Data Protection Legislation and Data Security
- Data Quality and Governance
- Integration with Third-Party Applications
- Relationships and Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Innovation, Continuous Learning and Team Development
Responsibilities
Admin Support
To complete user requests for support to a 48-hour SLA, including:
- Manage Users
- Manage Records (Delete, Update, Merge, Re-Assign and Unlock)
- Create Reports and Dashboards
- Create List Views
- Create Email Templates
- Permission Changes
To ensure both of the following are in place and delivered:
- User Guidance and Documentation
- In-Form Training for New and Existing Users
Minor System Change
To complete user requests and deliver to a monthly release cycle to changes including the following:
- Custom Fields
- Page Layouts
- User Profiles
- Custom Objects
- Workflows and Validations
- Visual Force
- Data Loader
- Changes to Existing Code
Major System Change
To support the Database Manager and our external developer partners (when required) to deliver the large change projects, including;
- New Custom Applications
- Data Migrations and Imports
- Integrations
- New Code
Entry requirements
You’ll need to pass a face to face screening interview with our Talent Team (don’t worry, we’re a friendly bunch) and sit initial assessments in Maths and English.
