The internship will provide you with a unique experience on challenging and exciting medical products with the latest cutting-edge technology within digital electronics.
This position involves supporting electronic medical design and development with exposure to the full-product development lifecycle.
A Day in the Life
- Provide engineering support to the design, development and selection of basic hardware components utilizing fundamental electrical engineering principles, theories, and techniques
- Support the fabrication and testing of prototype or deliverable hardware. Document and present results
- Develop or improve test fixtures using CAD. Generate or improve CAD library symbols and footprints
- Participate in preparing and documenting Bill of Materials
Must Haves
- Pursuing a degree in BS Degree in Electrical Engineering - in final year of studies
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering and components
- Able to read electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams
- Knowledge and use of basic test equipment, such as oscilloscope, DMMs, power supplies etc.
- Eager to learn and develop
- English fluent
- Based near London
Nice to Haves
- Experience in electrical engineering CAD software such as Altium, Cadence or any other similar
- Ability to work with serial communication protocols such as UART, SPI and I2C
- Experience in VHDL, MATLAB, Embedded-C or any other firmware programing for embedded systems
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
