Merck Summer Student Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for students join our Merck Contract Testing Services business in the UK for 3 months over the summer. Students will work with Merck teams across different parts of the business, gaining meaningful industry experience.
Students will get the opportunity to experience the work of the proposal writing team whilst collaborating with Merck colleagues across various departments. The students will learn on the job, developing practical skills and personal competencies, building relationships with colleagues across our business.
Your Role
The role will be based remotely with a preference for Glasgow or the capacity to travel to Glasgow as needed for team meetings.
This role will be based within the Proposal Writing Team, a global commercial support function within the CTS business. As Proposal Writing Intern you will work cross functionally with commercial and operational teams to contribute to projects aimed at improving the customer experience.
The successful candidate will receive SalesForce.com training to support work assignment and work alongside the team and business leads to identify and improve potential process inefficiencies.
Who You Are
- HND/Degree/MSc Student, or recent graduate in relevant subject looking for work experience
- Proactive & organised
- Strong communicator and collaborative
- Effective working as part of a team and autonomously, managing individual workload but seeking support if necessary
- Deadline driven with a sense of urgency for goal achievement
- Able to manage your own workload and ask for support where you need it
- Curious and innovative
