Department
The Insurance Operating Unit (OU) team’s approach stands out from our competitors. We take our expertise and find ways to package it into a product which offers our customers standardized solutions. The core of our business today is delivering actuarial modelling to insurers. We provide timely insight with control and consistency, enabling effective decision-making, and reducing operational risk and cost. Our diverse team of actuaries, software engineers and product managers are committed to maintaining high-quality customer engagement.
Role/Responsibilities
The Risk and Accounting Department of Moody’s Analytics’ Insurance and Pensions Business Unit is looking for an intern for a 10 week assignment.
The main responsibilities of this internship/project will be:
- Conducting research, empirical analysis and documentation for Product Development purposes
- Conducting, analysing and documenting strategy focused market and competitor research
- Writing minutes in technical actuarial and accounting meetings
- Working with other Insurance and Pensions Business Units as required
Qualifications
- Ideally working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a numerical or engineering discipline
- Professional Fluency in English
- Must have a sense of synthesis and pedagogy
- Must develop a very good level of autonomy to track and find technical information on the product and increase knowledge on the product
- Knowledge of the insurance business is preferred
