Are you looking to start a career in law and qualify as a Solicitor in England and Wales?

We're looking for aspiring lawyers to join our SQE Trainee Programme in Guernsey, starting in September 2026.

Trainees will obtain the necessary two years' hands-on practical experience, whilst also studying for the Solicitors Qualifying Exams. You'll rotate between our practice groups, gaining access to a diverse range of complex and challenging work, supported by our experienced and top-rated legal teams.

The two-year fixed term contract offers a competitive total reward package, including high quality mentorship, SQE preparation course costs, exam fees and exam/study leave.

There will be an opportunity to apply for a permanent role as an Associate upon qualification and admission as a Solicitor.

If you would like to join an ambitious and forward thinking firm whose inclusive culture and values recognise that its people are fundamental to its success, we would love to hear from you.

    You will need

    • a degree or be graduating in 2026 (and ideally tracking towards a 2:1 or higher) - non-law graduates welcome
    • excellent organisation, attention to detail and communication and presentation skills
    • the ability to work under pressure, often within tight deadlines
    • a proactive, flexible and agile approach to work
    • residential and working rights in Guernsey

    Flexible working

We welcome conversations about flexible and agile working arrangements to support a diverse range of exceptional people to balance their personal circumstances and needs with business requirements, wherever possible. If you would like to speak to someone about flexible or agile working, please contact our Recruitment team.
