The role

To continue with our growth plans for 2024 and beyond we are searching for Electrical Engineer Graduates to join our Professional Development Programme for our autumn 2024 intake. Based at the office in Rickmansworth you will be working on projects throughout the London and Thames Valley region.

Working within the engineering team you will support the design manager by providing assistance in the following;

  • Carry out surveys and site visits to develop your understanding of the power, control and telemetry installed and utilised at clean water treatment sites
  • Develop EICA designs that drive performance, cost and carbon reduction efficiencies, meet the requirements of the specification, and can be installed and commissioned effectively.
  • Produce engineering deliverables such as Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Load and Instrument Schedules to meet the requirements of the works specification
  • Work with other discipline engineers, supply chain and site teams to support design delivery within a multi-discipline environment
  • Review subcontractor detailed design documentation against the works specification · Assist project teams at factory acceptance tests (FATs) across the country for EICA assets such as transformers, generators, MCCs and control panels
  • Prepare of design risk assessments
  • Produce clear and well-presented reports, specifications, and other engineering documentation
  • Undertake a placement on one of our construction sites where you will gain experience and training in project management, electrical installation, or commissioning activities

About You

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Successful candidates will need to be flexible and willing to spend time in other offices and sites. This is to gain a full understanding of new projects and different clients, which will provide fresh experiences and support your development.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal are essential, and you must be able to work well within a team and independently. You will be self – motivated, flexible and reliable with good problem-solving skills.
  • You will also have a strong client service focus and excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task. Excellent computer skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office are essential.
  • Candidates will also need to have a full UK driving license or have the ability to make their own way to our sites and offices.
