This vacancy is within our Global Sales & Marketing group working within Customer Application Support (CAS) team in EMEA. Within NXP’s customer base the Mass Market (serviced by our distribution partners) is one of the core business drivers of NXP.

Working with the Mass Market is very diverse and exciting and this role is vital to help keep NXP at the fore front. The role of the Distribution Technical Engineer is to work with our Distribution Partners leveraging the full NXP portfolio into their new designs, helping them with their top opportunities and ensuring that they are always aware of the latest solutions and products from NXP.

Job responsibilities

  • Understand customers hardware & software technical requirements and work to position the right options from the NXP portfolio in conjunction with the distributors Field Application Engineers and sales.
  • Customer project management. Interfacing with the distributor & customers coordinating the right resources to ensure key deliverables are provided on time to the customer.
  • Work with the NXP technical community to develop a proof-of-concept demonstration of the NXP solution aligned to the customer requirements.
  • Developing presentations & communicating NXP’s product roadmaps and technical product information to customers
  • Delivering training to NXP customer & partners.
  • Building and maintaining an internal network in a Global team to be constantly updated on the latest products and solutions from NXP Semiconductors and being able to deliver the right messages to the distribution network and customers.

Essential requirements

To ensure your successful performance in this role, the following is desired:

  • Degree (Hons) in Electronic, Electrical, Software Engineering or other relevant degrees
  • Passionate about science and innovation.
  • Team working attitude with key stakeholders within the company to achieve assigned targets.
  • Some hands-on experience with programming and debugging of a microcontroller/microprocessor device
  • Some knowledge of software real time operating systems and middleware
  • Some practical experience in programming in a high-level language e.g.  C, C++, Python
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English & Local language)
  • Naturally structured and diligent, self-motivated
  • Willing to travel in the assigned region and in Europe primarily with some potential for global travel required
  • Marketing and sales skills are considered as a plus.

Contract

This is a full-time position with a permanent contract. However, we are open to discuss a part-time opportunity as well.
