We are hiring for an additional Graduate Mechancial Engineer who will work in the Microscopy Engineering and report into the Head of Engineering for Microscopy Systems. The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will enhance Andor’s innovative scientific product portfolio and provide technical support.
The role extends to mechanical design and development of optical microscopy systems incorporating scientific cameras and high end opto-mechanical mechanisms, engineering change management within a production environment, bill of material management, one-off customer special request support and development, support for customer queries and production technical support.
What you'll need
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will have:
- 2.1 (or higher) BSc/BEng qualification in Mechanical engineering (or similar discipline) or equivalent qualification- latest graduation date is July 2023
- 6 months experience in a Mechanical Engineering role. This can be as part of a placement year for a degree course.
This position is based on site at our Belfast headquarters.
