Key responsibilities
- Join our Finance team and play a pivotal role in supporting R&D and Corporate Finance Business Partnering. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in monthly cost centre reviews via Tableau and providing review-ready data
- Analysing budget variances and preparing correcting journals
- Collating data for R&D capitalisation and RDEC tax credit calculations
- Managing monthly meeting schedules and tracking action points
- Maintaining project codes in D365 and supporting R&D staff with PO and supplier queries
- Posting journals in D365 and preparing monthly management accounts
- Handling R&D amortisation and capitalisation records
- Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Organising records on SharePoint for the FBP team
- Completing ONS Business Surveys
- Supporting with ad hoc finance tasks
Qualifications and experience
Essential
- Degree level education
- Financial reporting experience including month-end processes
Desirable
- Part-qualified accountant or willing to undertake qualification
- Experience with R&D tax credits or capitalisation
Skills and attributes
- Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, XLookups, SumIfs)
- Financial systems knowledge and ability to develop them
- Proactive problem-solving and team collaboration
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- A team player willing to contribute at all levels
