About the team

QinetiQ's Communications and Networks Engineering Team are renowned for providing high quality, independent technical assistance to our customers. The team exploits their broad IT and cloud knowledge to support customers with a range of interesting and unique programmes of work. Working in a hybrid manner, from home sites and various customer locations, they use your technical knowhow and skills to advise, formulate and deliver effective solutions, helping our customers to shape their views using technical evidence, analysis and sound judgement.

What will I be doing?

For the summer, you will be assisting the team in Malvern, helping to design, build and support mission IT. You will also learn how we secure and run our systems and deliver our services.

Academic requirements

You will need to have attained or working towards a degree with a key focus on any of the disciplines listed below:

  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Networking
  • Software Development
  • Cloud

Additional requirements:

Have a strong interest and/or experience within IT systems typically covering:

  • Server and networking hardware
  • Software installation and maintenance
  • Networking
  • Writing code
  • Public cloud
  • Passionate about understanding how technology works and enthusiasm in new technologies

Mandatory
