    About the team

    Maritime Training Evaluation and Tactics Integrated Delivery Team (MTET IDT)

    This IDT focuses on the delivery of capability into BUTEC and other ranges. Generally these capabilities support the ongoing acceptance and management of submarine signatures.

    Capabilities include

    • Acoustic Signature Measurement
    • Radar Cross Section Measurement
    • Electromagnetic Signature Measurement
    • Target Tracking

    What will I be doing?

    • The primary scope of this role is to provide systems engineering support to one of the project teams.
    • The sort of tasks a graduate systems engineer might do include
      • Develop system use cases and models
      • Analyse the operation of a system
      • Develop and manage system requirements and trace these to system design
      • Look at how systems interact with each other and develop interfaces to enable this
      • Testing of systems against the contracted requirements
      • Verification and validation
    • These activities will be conducted under the guidance of the engineering team, this may be a small scrum or Kanban team using agile principles to deliver their work.

    Academic requirements

    You will need to have obtained a degree with a key focus on any of the disciplines listed below:

    • Systems Engineering
    • Any other engineering degree
    • Mathematics
    • Physics

    Additional requirements

    • Have a strong interest and/or experience within product or software development
    • Experience in project management useful but not essential
