The role

As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including an Engineering Intern in our Seating business located in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.

The successful candidate can expect to:

  • Assist operational floor in the introduction of new products.
  • Control the introduction of Engineering Design changes into production.
  • Ensure the accuracy of Manufacturing Bills of Materials.
  • Improve where appropriate shop floor processes and control systems to optimise material flow.
  • Identify the need for appropriate assembly tooling, jigs and fixtures etc. to enhance productivity.
  • To assist in the introduction of lean manufacturing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Working with other teams and functions to ensure effective delivery.
  • Other duties as required to support business needs.

What you need to succeed?

Essential criteria:

  • Studying towards a degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.

Desirable criteria:

  • Relevant experience in implementing the principles of lean manufacturing.
  • Relevant engineering experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with the use of CAD systems.
