The role
As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including an Engineering Intern in our Seating business located in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland.
The successful candidate can expect to:
- Assist operational floor in the introduction of new products.
- Control the introduction of Engineering Design changes into production.
- Ensure the accuracy of Manufacturing Bills of Materials.
- Improve where appropriate shop floor processes and control systems to optimise material flow.
- Identify the need for appropriate assembly tooling, jigs and fixtures etc. to enhance productivity.
- To assist in the introduction of lean manufacturing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
- Working with other teams and functions to ensure effective delivery.
- Other duties as required to support business needs.

What you need to succeed?
Essential criteria:
- Studying towards a degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
Desirable criteria:
- Relevant experience in implementing the principles of lean manufacturing.
- Relevant engineering experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with the use of CAD systems.
