For 30 years we’ve been creating incredible video games at our multiple studios, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film and mo-cap studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

We operate across multiple UK locations, with studios based in Oxford, Warwick, Liverpool, and Wakefield. Work-life balance is important to us, and we want everyone at Rebellion to work in the way that works best for them. The role

We are on the lookout for a talented Junior Video Editor to be part of an open, friendly, knowledgeable team of hard-working individuals, whose passion is ‘making awesome content’ and supporting each other and the larger Rebellion group as a whole.

With mentoring and guidance, the focus of the role is to edit and produce videos, demos and cut scenes to ensure that the integration of the work is in line with the project’s technical constraints and artistic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Support the video team in day-to-day tasks as necessary.
  • Get a grounding of the in-game engine to be able to capture in game cinematics and game play to support projects you are working as well as projects of a large scope as required.
  • Ensuring each video asset is fit for purpose for the target audience and channel, in line with briefings and delivery schedules from Marketing team.
  • Tracking and updating the progress of day-to-day tasks using the designated tracking tools.
  • Working closely with Lead Video Editor and Producers to seek feedback and confirm direction of work remains in line with original briefs.
  • Referencing game design documents to develop an understanding of the environments, objectives, atmospheres, story and style of the project
  • Developing good relationships with internal teams.
  • Support role on film shoots and non-game related productions.
