    RPS Energy EES Marine are a fast-growing team that work globally to give advice and consultancy to clients on UXO (Unexploded Ordinance) / ERW (Explosive Remnants of War) risk on sites, whether it be in the construction industry or Oil and Gas etc and also training and out of area services.

    We are now looking for a Graduate to join our team to work on the exciting projects we have in this Sector.

    The Graduate Consultant will support the wider team of consultants to ensure that all projects are delivered accurately and on time in line with client requirements.

    Key responsibilities/accountabilities

    • Assistance with and producing technical reports, such as UXO Desk Based Assessments, survey reporting and desk top studies
    • Assist in the project management / QA & QC of UXO survey and clearance projects
    • Assisting with geophysical survey design programmes to detect UXO
    • Support the team in the field and at meetings
    • Analysis and interpretation of geophysical data
    • Processing and / or reviewing geophysical data (Mag/SSS/MBES etc).
    • Interaction with and technical support to clients.
    • Attending meetings with clients and contractors.
    • An integral member of the RPS UXO Marine Team and input into the development of technical systems.
    • To work on a diverse range of projects, both as an individual and as part of a team.
    • Potential for travel to support projects in the UK and globally.
    • Focussing on demonstrating ‘best value’ for established and emerging remedial solutions.
    • May contribute with basic content for proposals
    • Actively contributes in meetings, making suggestions for improvement where appropriate

    • Problem solver with ability to deliver solutions and technical excellence
    • Ability to prioritise and deliver results to timetables/tight deadlines
    • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure

    Education and experience

    We would particularly encourage graduates with the following degree subjects to apply:

    • BSc Geophysical Sciences
    • (MSc) in Earth Sciences/Geophysics
    • MSc Applied Marine Geoscience
    • MSc Explorations Geophysics
    • BSc Exploration & Resource Geology

    Other Knowledge and Skill Sets

    Solid understanding and experience in Office 365 applications (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
