Schindler’s Modernisation & Design Centre (MDC) is searching for a passionate and driven Application Engineer Trainee to join our dynamic team in Addlestone.     What you’ll be doing

    • Deliver creative and cost-effective engineering solutions for custom and pre-engineered lift systems
    • Support internal and external customers with a customer-first mindset
    • Master the art of product configuration—design layouts, develop new lift components, and generate accurate bills of materials
    • Use your technical know-how to ensure first-pass yield and on-time project delivery
    • Travel to client sites for surveys and meetings, taking ownership from design all the way to site documentation and manuals
    • Champion safety and compliance, always setting the gold standard for Health & Safety in engineering practices

    What you’ll bring

    • A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
    • Some experience with engineering design, installation, or technical calculations
    • Knowledge of CAD—AutoCAD, 3D tools like Revit, and Microsoft Office suite
    • Strong technical, interpersonal, and communication skills
    • Team spirit and customer focus, paired with a relentless drive for results and bags of enthusiam!
