The role
As a Digitalisation Intern at Siemens Healthineers, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in one of the world's leading healthcare companies. Our Magnet Technology factory in Eynsham, Oxford, is at the forefront of manufacturing high-tech medical imaging equipment used by healthcare professionals worldwide, and our Digitalisation team is key to revolutionise our manufacturing operations with Industry 4.0 standards of connectivity and automation, digitalise existing business processes and empower our end users with data collection and analytics tools.
As an Intern in our Digitalisation team, you can expect to:
- Provide valuable input to innovative projects across the business which have a real impact on our future
- Help manage and track project requirements and actions with our Digital Project Managers
- Learn to use Microsoft 365 technologies such as PowerApps, Power Automate and Power BI and utilise them in improving business processes
- Potentially work with SQL Server and programming languages such as Python for more complex data aggregation and analysis
- Support our transformation into a digital business in a myriad of other ways
- Participate in our 12 month Intern development programme teaching softer skills such as communication, teamwork, and commercial awareness alongside the role.
Who are we looking for
- Currently studying a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT and looking for a 12 month placement
- Alternatively you could be studying towards a degree in a related discipline with a demonstrable experience and interest in topics like web development, programming, data analytics or cyber security, and looking for a 12 month placement
- A flexible working approach, self-motivated and good time management skills
- An excellent user of Microsoft Office 365 software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience working in a team
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
