    Nature Masterclasses has been developed by Nature Portfolio to provide professional development training for researchers. Nature Portfolio is part of Springer Nature, a leading academic and educational publisher.     The role

    We are looking for a Training Operations Coordinator to support the operations management of the Training Solutions team within Nature Masterclasses. You will lead administrative support and project manager for our online training, in-person workshops and webinars for researchers around the world!

    The Training Solutions team and Nature Masterclasses provide a range of services to scientists and researchers to help them, and their institutions, succeed. 

    You will provide coordination support for first-class researcher training events. You will have excellent communicat ion, organisation and project management skills and will have the chance to hone your project management abilities further supporting your team with a growing portfolio of training workshops and webinars 

    Role responsibilities 

    • Work closely with other Training Operations Coordinators globally and the Events & Operations Manager to ensure the seamless execution of all training events, both online and in-person, while maintaining the high standards of Nature Masterclasses. 
    • Communicate and coordinate regularly with international sales teams and project managers.
    • Support and on-board editors from the Nature series of journals to deliver training sessions. 
    • Schedule in-house and external trainers to lead workshops. 
    • Oversee the planning, material distribution, and facilitation of each workshop, aligning with client needs in coordination with the Events & Operations Manager and trainers.
    • Arrange international travel and coordinate with local teams to manage travel and accommodation logistics . 
    • Organize all project meetings and lead at least two for each project. 
    • Set up and facilitate webinars and in-person workshops (travel may be required ) 
    • Gather and analyse participant feedback, compiling reports to assess and improve training effectiveness. 
    • Handle all administration and coordination for training webinars and workshop . 
    • Act as first point of contact for all email enquiries related to training webinars and workshop . 

    Experience, skills & qualifications

    Essential

    • Demon strable a bil ity to priori ti se and multitask 
    • Proven ability to meet multiple simultaneous deadline 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Organisation skills 
    • Strong proven administration skills 
    • Ability to work in a team and independently when required 
    • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to adapt communication and build and maintain relationships with stakeholders .
    • Attention to detail
    • Problem solving skills 
    • Willingness to travel as required as part of the roles responsibilities , possibly 1-2 times per year 

    Desirable 

    • An understanding of scientific publishing landscape and the needs of researchers/their institutions 
    • Undergraduate degree (preferably in a scientific discipline) or equivalent experience. 
    • A Pro - active approach to tasks and responsibilities
