About the role

You will join St. James’s Place on a permanent full-time contract and complete a 2 year Graduate Programme. During this time you will rotate within your chosen division, this will give you full exposure to that division and help you understand how it interacts with other areas of the business. On completion of your Graduate programme, we intend for you to continue your career at St. James’s Place with that division.  

The teams you will be working with are based all around the UK so this role will involve some travel to SJP offices around the UK.

The Field division exists to support the Partnership, enabling Partnerships to be effective and successful, ultimately supporting good client outcomes. This is archived through recruitment, checking and development of partners and advisers, oversight of the provision of good advice to clients, business consultancy to help Partnerships maximise their growth and potential.

You will rotate through a variety of teams which may include those listed below. During this time, you will build the knowledge and contacts you need to continue your career within the Consultancy team at the end of this 2 year programme.

  • Supervision and Risk- who oversee and manage compliance across our Partnership network.
  • Academy – Growth & Development who help to train and develop new partners and Advisers.
  • Partnership Operations – supporting the communication and administration of the Field Division.
  • Business Partnering – enabling our Partners to manage and grow their businesses by offering day to day business support.

Alongside the above placements, you will be involved in key projects and given exposure to a variety of work. You will also undertake a professional qualification such as ILM.

During your time on this graduate programme, you will build the knowledge and and contacts to kick start your career in a role within the Field Consultancy team, working with Partners, helping them grow their businesses offering business consulting.

About you

You’ll be a people person with a strong business acumen and numerical ability. We’d like to see applicants with degrees in the following subjects; Economics, Maths, Business Management, Business, Sciences, Management consulting and other degrees with a strong mathematical or analytical content. You will need to have achieved or be on track to achieve a minimum of a 2:2.

What happens next?

Our process is the same for each of our Graduate opportunities, so once you have completed the application form, we will invite you to complete a Job Focussed Assessment (JFA). If successful after the JFA, you will be invited to complete an online video interview and if successful at this stage we will invite you to the final stage of the process, that consists of a face to face assessment centre.
