We have an exciting roadmap ahead for new products, services, production capacity and business expansion. As a result of this continued success, we are expanding our teams in Terex Washing Systems. We currently have opportunities for a Graduate Design Engineer.

The successful applicant will be responsible for producing full manufacturing specification package including Engineering bills of materials and should be able to resolve problems at the root cause quickly and effectively as well as manage the engineering change process relating to washing plant.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Work with the engineering team to create solutions to a variety of issues
  • Use latest 3D software to produce designs and drawings for solutions
  • Work with other functional departments such as Manufacturing, Production, Quality and Service to improve machine build and service life
  • To resolve problems at the root cause quickly and effectively and assist in managing engineering change processes
  • Assist in producing full manufacturing drawings and engineering bill of materials
  • Improve manufacturing process through improved design and consultation with the production department, purchasing and suppliers
  • Follow Group standards in the areas of QFD, FMEA, design-for-manufacture, prototype development and field testing
  • Follow Group engineering standards and associated IT systems

About you

Experience level & required qualifications

  • Due to graduate or have recently graduated with a minimum 2:2 degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • Excellent Knowledge of basic engineering principles
  • Strong knowledge of 3D Solid Modeling CAD
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to quickly and continuously learn
  • Numerical skills
  • IT literate
  • Determination to achieve results
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with others to meet deadlines
  • Goal and results orientated

Skills & competencies

  • Knowledge of 3D Solid Modeling CAD - Pro-Engineer
  • Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
