The role

The National Exhibition Centre specialises in creating outstanding events and has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Business System Advisor to join a lively and dynamic team. This Fixed Term position is well suited to an individual who is looking to advance their career and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

What your day-to-day responsibilities look like:

  • You will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and ongoing development of all catering core systems to ensure the systems are delivered effectively within the business.
  • You will maintain the core catering systems, to ensure quality management information can be produced regularly to aid and improve operational activity.
  • You will ensure that sensitive personal data is kept in a secure environment in line with our company policies.
  • You will support the catering team on the use of core systems, responding to and resolving system-related queries via a number of channels.
  • Deliver training to the catering team on the use of the core systems.
  • You will support the delivery of the catering strategy to ensure the department maintains high standards and deadlines are met at all times.
  • You will demonstrate a professional approach on every occasion and build positive relationships with both internal and external customers.

Skills and requirements

  • Computer literate to a high level with Microsoft Office and other systems.
  • Good time management and organisational skills, with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Able to self-manage.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer care and team working skills.
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal to all levels with the ability to exercise discretion when required.

This role is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months.
