Role Description

The Junior Press Officer plays a key role in supporting TopCashback UK’s busy public relations activity.

There will be some administrative duties as part of the job, which includes monitoring our brand and competitor media coverage, producing PowerPoint reports, and assisting our Press Officer and PR Manager as needed.

Other aspects of the job include helping to create proactive media communications targeting the personal finance and consumer media. You may be asked to brainstorm creative ideas and craft media angles with the team, or you may be required to draft a comment for a journalist. Overall – it’s quite a varied position!

Key Skills:

  • Eagerness to learn about the PR industry and media communications
  • Attention to detail & proof reading skills
  • Clear Communicator – written and verbally
  • Time Management Skills – after training you will be required to manage your own workloads, so ability to prioritise and work to deadlines is key
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Familiarity with email systems e.g. MS Outlook, Gmail is beneficial but training can be given
