Job Description

You will be joining a team of 3 Vets, 1 Head Nurse, 4 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 1 Head Receptionist, 4 Pet Health Advisor and we are currently recruiting for a Practice Manager. The team in practice are friendly and enjoying socialising outside of work whether that be for a post shift dinner, going bowling or even days out to Alton Towers so if that sounds like your idea of fun this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Rawtenstall is in the South of Lancashire just over half an hour north of Manchester City Centre and is surrounded by countryside for exploring the great outdoors and has great transport links into the city. Rawtenstall Vets4Pets itself is located on the busy New Hall Hey Retail Park, close to the town centre making it commutable from Manchester and surrounding areas in Lancashire.

In practice we have state of the art equipment including ultrasound, digital radiography and ophthalmology equipment such as a tonopen. In addition to our vets in practice we have visiting specialists including cardiology and imaging which allows us to work cases up to a high standard. We run 15-minute consults in surgery with regular admin time put into your diaries to write up notes, and our nurses also do their share of consults with one dedicated runner nurse each day to help our vets.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for a full or part time vet to join the team and can offer both permanent and fixed term contracts. There is a requirement to work 1 in 3 Saturdays but there are no OOHs or on call requirements. Due to the current team in practice, we can accommodate both new graduate vets and also someone with experience, if you are confident, committed and hardworking then we would love to hear from you.
