About the team

As a member of our Sales team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced Lead Bid and Proposal Writer and one other colleague. Your role will involve collaborating with the team to create compelling proposals and bids that meet the needs of our clients.

What you'll be doing

We’re looking for a Bid Writer to lead on the delivery of bidding activities, curating, proof-reading and editing bids / tenders as part of our sales process. Bids / Tenders are crucial to us winning new business and ensuring we’re supplying potential new customers with all the information required.

What we’re looking for

Ultimately, we’re looking for someone with great writing skills and a persuasive copywriting style. You’ll have exceptional attention to detail and ability to write both concisely and informatively. You’ll also be curious and a natural problem-solver, ready to build relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure collaborative information gathering is possible.

This is an exciting role to work in an established area, where you will have the support, processes and knowledge hub to successfully deliver compelling and winning bids. You will deliver activities included in the Sales strategy, including end to end bid and tender submissions to time and quality and will get stuck in across:

  • Writing and editing a range of responses including ITT (invitation to tender), RFQ (request for quotation), RFI (request for information) and pre-market engagement
  • Creating and maintaining all required CRM records related to tender submissions
  • Working with teams across the business to gather necessary information quickly and efficiently
  • Ensuring that the handover process from tender to pitch stage runs smoothly and that the Business Development Manager leading the pitch stage is briefed appropriately using the relevant handover briefing format
  • Developing extensive knowledge of the client procurement process across the team, including who the key decision makers are through liaison with existing client success managers in the case of retention tenders
  • Keeping up to date with knowledge of external business environment, including key competitors and developments in technology and employee benefits in order to differentiate our offering
  • Collaborating with client success team, marketing team, implementation team and any other relevant individuals to develop case studies and a one voice knowledge bank ensuring consistent messaging

The interview process

Our interview process involves 4 main stages:

  • Application
  • Short call with a member of the TA team
  • 30-minute video call with Hiring Manager and one other team member
  • Final Interview and task with two members of the team
