An opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Engineer to join VolkerRail Metro & Rail Projects.

Job summary

This role will involve:

  • Assisting with site surveys and providing appropriate reporting.
  • Identification of risks and hazards.
  • Assisting with the development of innovative solutions which enhance safety and improve the financial performance.
  • Assisting in the preparation of specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents and methodologies.
  • Assisting in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase.
  • Ensuring that all works are carried out safely.

Job requirements

You will ideally have the following experience and qualities:

  • Ideally studying towards Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or at least a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Civil Engineering.
  • Someone with a passion for working within the Rail industry.
  • Computer literate and working knowledge in Microsoft office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to develop.
  • The ability to think methodically.
  • Problem-solving skills.
