Working as part of our Business Insight Team, you’ll join a team of enthusiastic specialists that support the delivery of management information across the business. This is a key area for us as the work the team does helps drive and inform leadership action. We’ll support you to get fully involved and you’ll learn to provide reporting and analysis that is reliable, easy to interpret and articulates a clear story.
If you are studying a Business or Numerate related degree, enjoying reporting and want to contribute to the success of the enterprise then this could be the perfect placement for you.
What you could be doing
Joining as one of two undergraduates in this role, you will be responsible for specific day-by-day and ad-hoc delivery of management information reporting outputs and contribute to the development of the quality and efficiency of reporting for the department. Here’s what you’ll get involved in:
- You will develop sound working relationships cross functionally and companywide to improve and then maintain data quality across the Risk & Controlling department and the wider business.
- You will have an active involvement in all relevant projects understanding the impacts on reporting requirements to include requirement gathering, testing and implementation.
- You will proactively develop and continuously improve outputs to anticipate the future needs of internal stakeholders. Identify the right input sources and take ownership to deliver timely solutions and outputs which add value/meet business needs
- You will be proficient in multiple systems in order to extract, combine and analyse relevant data (don’t worry, we’ll give you training on these systems when you join)
- You will ensure all relevant procedures give optimal effectiveness for all reporting related activity
What can you bring with you?
- You will be enrolled at a University which offers a 1 year industrial placement
- Studying towards a Business or Numerate related degree
- Aptitude for analysis with some analytical skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Able to work with stakeholders at varying levels across the enterprise
- Some Microsoft Excel skills would be great but we’ll teach you some of this too
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Good self and time management skills will help you to succeed.

What to expect from the assessment process

You will then be invited to complete an online video interview where you have the opportunity to tell us about you and your amazing qualities.
If you are successful after completing your video interview, you will be invited to attend an assessment centre at our Milton Keynes offices. Here, you will complete a Competency Based Interview, deliver a Presentation and take part in a Group Exercise. We’ll provide you with appropriate support and guidance before you attend.
