We have an exciting opportunity for a student or graduate to join us for a summer internship in our Economy and Regeneration directorate!
This is to provide the right candidate with a developmental opportunity to gain experience, skills and knowledge in the field of Economic Regeneration in Local Government services.
What you will do?
During the internship, students will be given the opportunity to develop key competencies for a future career in the field, while gaining key insight into the work the service do while supporting in the delivery of high-quality services making a meaningful contribution to our communities. Alongside being able to get involved in ongoing projects within the service, in a Project Support Officer capacity.
Our ideal candidate will be a student or graduate with a degree (or working towards a degree) in a field relevant to Economic Regeneration, with enthusiasm for learning and developing a future career in the public sector, who holds a basic understanding of the role of Economy and Regeneration as a service area within a Local Government Authority.
You will have strong communication, organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders. Previous experience in a support or project-based role will be beneficial, but is not essential.
