IEUK 2024: Referral prize terms and conditions

  1. The Promoter

Bright Network (UK) Limited incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 06386360 whose registered office is at Fifth Floor, 80 Middlesex Street, London E1 7EZ.

  1. The competition
    1. The title of the competition is: IEUK 2024 Attendee Referral Raffle Prize Competition
  2. How to enter
    1. The competition will run from 09:00 on 24 May 2024 (the "Opening Date") to 23:59 on 20th June 2024 (the "Closing Date").
    2. All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified. 
    3. To enter the competition:
      1. get your referrees to submit the application to attend one of IEUK 2024's four streams (Business, Operations and Marketing OR Commercial Law OR Finance, Professional Services and Consulting OR Technology) (the "Application") taking place virtually from 17th June to 20th June (the "Event");
      2. in the Application, the referres must provide your name/society name under referral on page 6.
      3. you and your referrals must attend all four days of the virtual programme with active participation for the live experience
      4. you and your referral must submit your work sample in a timely manner latest by 20th June 2024
      5. your referral must complete the post event survey latest by 20th June 2024 for the live experience
    4. The Promoter will not accept:
      1. responsibility for competition entries that are delayed regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or 
      2. proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
    5. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
    6. 4 societies winner will be randomly selected using [Google’s random number generator] from the list of all the valid competition entries.

  3. Eligibility
    1. The competition is open to Bright Network (UK) Limited members only who: 
      1. have applied to Internship Experience UK 
      2. have referred someone who has attended the live experience - IEUK all four days
      3. have referred someone who has submitted their work sample by 20th June 2024
      4. have referred someone who has submitted the post event survey by 20th June 2024
    1. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
    2. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
  4. The prize
    1. The prize is a voucher of your choice upto the limit of £250.
    2. The Prize is subject to availability.  The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
    3. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
  5. Winners
    1. The decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
    2. The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date via [the email address provided in their application].
    3. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of major prize winner and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails [events@brightnetwork.co.uk] or writes to the address set out in Condition 1 (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the Closing Date of the competition. 
    4. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter.  In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  6. Claiming the prize
    1. If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 2 days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.
    2. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner and provide the information necessary to claim the prize. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed the prize within 48 hours from the moment that the Promoter contacted the winner, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
    3. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
  7. Limitation of liability

Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

  1. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
    1. By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
      1. assign to the Promoter all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
      2. waive all moral rights,

in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.

    1. You agree that the Promoter may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website [www.brightnetwork.co.uk] and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition.  You agree to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
  1. Data protection and publicity
    1. The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in our privacy policy here: https://www.brightnetwork.co.uk/about-us/privacy-policy/.
  2. General
    1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
    2. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
    3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
