First, please tell us a little bit about yourself.
“I've always loved science and helping people, which is why I was interested in healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry and decided to study Pharmaceutical Science at university.
I enjoyed labs a lot, but fell in love with the business side of healthcare and really wanted a role that could help me develop those skills.”
What motivated you to apply for the role?
“I was motivated to apply for the role because I really aligned with the company's values, which to me is the most important thing when it comes to applying jobs."
What was the application process like?
“The application process was surprisingly not bad. I did lots of research beforehand and then the actual process was made up of an interview and an assessment centre where I had to do a presentation and take part in a group exercise.
What I liked about the process is that it gave me a chance to use the skills I've learned throughout my time in education.”
How did Bright Network help you secure your role?
“I found the role through the Bright Network email updates I signed up to! I clicked through Bright Network’s website and immediately applied.”
What have you learnt from going through the process?
“It's important to learn how to articulate your skills, experience and your story clearly to whoever asks. I find that it helps you appear confident even if you're a little nervous.”
What are your tips for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
“My tips would be to use a spreadsheet to track your applications and follow up with each application – it was a game changer for me!”
