First, we’d love for you to tell us a little bit about yourself.

“I have always had an analytical and inquisitive curiosity and I realised that finance and investing was something quite interesting to me, as I enjoy deep diving into projects and understanding how different sectors work.”
“This led to me taking on lots of work experience in the industry, which made me realise that this is a line of work I truly enjoy and is impactful to me.”
What motivated you to apply for the role?
“T Rowe Price is one of the top players in the industry for asset management, especially in equities which made them a very attractive firm.
In addition to this, the people and culture is very inclusive, friendly and down-to-earth, so I could really see myself thriving there.”
What was the application process like?
“The group stock pitch was quite challenging, but it made me think more about applying my skills to the role and simulate how I would be working in this industry.”
“The overall application process was quite streamlined and being able to meet the recruiters and employees in person was a huge plus!”
What have you learnt going through the process?
“Having a true passion for the industry and skin the game e.g. in this case investing in stocks yourself, helps you to have a better understanding of the industry you’re going into once you land your role.”
What are your tips for people looking to follow in your footsteps?
“I’d recommend starting early and trying to get experience from the industry, even if it’s just an online course."
"Network with people inside the industry to get a better understanding of the role, to help you to really develop your passion.”
Tell us about the future. What’s next?
“I’m hoping to learn more about finance and become a better investor.
I want to develop not only my technical skills in the field, but also to further my soft skills including leadership, teamwork and communication and I look forward to hopefully embarking on my career long-term in the finance industry.”
