We recently caught up with Tifeoluwani about how she secured a Consulting Analyst role with Accenture, her top tips for the application process and how Bright Network helped her secure the role
What stood out to you about the firm secured your role with?
I got to know more about Accenture through the Empowering Black Futures Programme and what stood out to me most about Accenture were three things:
- Their strong commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Their commitment to making a social impact globally
- Their amazing culture which is non hierarchal and agile
How did you build your commercial awareness before the interview?
I participated in the Bright Network Consulting Internship Experience which gave me a great insight into the world of consulting. In preparing for my interview, I read up on Accenture, specifically their recent client case studies, their tech trend report 2021, and articles on their goals towards a more sustainable future.
I also placed Google alerts on everything Accenture related, checked out their social media sites, and spoke with various consultants at the company.
What are your top tips to members going through the application process?
- Resilience – The application process is lengthy and tedious. You will deal with a number of rejections (which I certainly did), and you have to stay committed and trust the process
- Discipline – Understand that this period of your life requires a lot of focus and dedication, so avoid unnecessary distractions
- Organisation – Create a schedule to keep up with your applications and their deadlines. Use your time efficiently and take breaks when needed

Bright Network helped in keeping me updated on the current applications that were out and their relevant deadlines. It was also through Bright Network that I found out about the Empowering Black Futures Programme at Accenture which eventually led me to receiving an offer from the company
