Why is DEI so important to Menzies?

Diversity is one of the key ingredients for maintaining a successful and future proof business. Harnessing the abilities and opinions of a cross section of society makes for a dynamic and creative team.

What is Menzies doing to champion DEI?

At Menzies, we run recognition events throughout the year to celebrate our men, women, LGBTQ+, ethnic minority, multi-faith and disabled colleagues. We are constantly looking to celebrate even more communities at Menzies.

We’re also working with the ICAEW in support of its two social mobility initiatives - Access Accountancy and Rise.

Every year at Menzies, we hold ‘Make a Difference’ week. This is where employees undertake volunteering activities in support of our local communities, providing an opportunity for colleagues to collaborate across departments and meet new team members whilst doing something worthwhile together.

Do you have any long-term goals for DEI?

At Menzies, our goal for DEI is for our colleagues and leadership team to reflect the communities within which they work. 

Are there D&I initiatives/networks for employees to join?

We have appointed DEI Advocates for Offices and communities across the firm. We’ll be continuing to develop these networks in the coming year to provide conversation hubs for members and feedback loops to the leadership team.
