Which qualification are you currently studying towards and why did you choose that route?
ATT-CTA - The opportunity to study the ATT/CTA joint pathway alongside my day to day job has enabled me to gain the technical knowledge and confidence I need to interact with clients on any matter.
Why did you choose to apply and work for Menzies LLP?
I chose to apply to Menzies because I really enjoyed studying tax in my final year at university and when I saw the opportunity to undertake a joint pathway (ATT-CTA) it was something that interested me further
What tips & advice would you give future applicants looking to join Menzies?
If accountancy is something you’re interested in then it's definitely worth pursuing a career in. That being said, there is a lot of learning on the job as well as balancing your studies. If you’re up for a challenge then it's definitely worth applying.
How have you found balancing your studies and work so far?
I initially thought I would struggle with balancing both but if you have the right mindset and are determined, it can be done
What do you enjoy most about your job so far and why?
I enjoy learning new things and constantly being involved whether it is the very beginning onboarding process of a client to engaging and building a relationship with the client when it comes to their tax return
How would you describe the working culture of Menzies as a place to work?
It’s a lovely and friendly place to work. Everyone is on hand to offer help anytime you may need it.
What advice would you give someone thinking about following a similar journey to you?
I would say definitely have a go! You’ll never know unless you try something.

What do you enjoy most about your role and working at Menzies LLP?
I enjoy being given responsibility for a wide range of different tasks and learning something new every time.
