At Telent, we offer a competitive benefits package to attract and retain the best people. Balancing Work and Home Life

Annual Leave

All Telent colleagues will receive 26 days of annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays.

Buying or selling holiday

We offer you the opportunity to either buy or sell holiday back to the company each year. You can request to buy up to 10 days holiday and sell up to six days back to the company at the beginning of the holiday year. Buying holiday is offered through a salary sacrifice agreement, meaning you can buy additional holiday and potentially save tax and National Insurance at the same time.

Telent Rewards

Our Telent Rewards portal gives you the opportunity to make savings on thousands of goods and services from hundreds of retailers. It can save you money in lots of ways, from your daily spending, through to big purchases such as electrical goods, to treats like theatre and cinema trips and going on holiday.

Life Assurance Cover

Everyone who joins our pension scheme is provided with Life Assurance. In the event of your death, a payment amounting to two and a half times your pensionable earnings is made to a nominated person. You can also increase your cover by paying a small additional premium.

Employee Assistance Programme

We provide an Employee Assistance Programme through UNUM called Help@Hand.

Help@Hand provide access to a 24/7 helpline for one-to-one counselling on everyday practical issues such as childcare and elder care, work issues and money matters, as well as personal legal advice.

Help@Hand also include additional wellbeing services such as:

  • Unlimited mental health support from qualified mental healthcare professionals
  • 24/7 unlimited remote GP appointments – so you can get access to a doctor at a time convenient to you
  • Six 1-2-1 nutritional video consultations per year
  • Six 1-2-1 digitally delivered personal training sessions per year
  • 1-2-1 lifestyle coaching sessions per year
  • Physiotherapy – eight sessions a year shared between you and your partner
  • Medical second opinions
  • Savings and discounts on weekly costs
  • On-demand wellness content which is packed with podcasts, articles, webinars and more to help support your wellbeing

Eyecare Plan

Through Boots and ASE Corporate eyecare, we offer a comprehensive eyecare plan to employees who are employed on a permanent or fixed-term contract which entitles you to an eye test voucher every two years.


Long-Service Awards

Our Long-Service Awards are awarded annually to recognise those who have dedicated 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years’ service to Telent. As a mark of their outstanding loyalty and dedication, long servers are invited to a celebratory lunch and awards ceremony where they are presented with a monetary amount and an extra day’s holiday for that year.

Telent Referral Scheme

Telent operates a Referral Scheme that offers a reward for introducing external candidates who are successfully placed into a permanent role. The scheme is available to all employees and aims to enhance our ability to find the right candidate quickly and cost effectively (does not include referrals to our Graduate and Apprenticeship programmes). The maximum reward paid per successfully placed candidate is £3,000.

Thanks Awards

Our Thanks Awards aim to recognise individuals who apply Telent’s values of Service, Commitment and Value, and demonstrate exceptional commitment to the success of the organisation. Nominations can be made by any manager who has the discretion to propose a monetary award. Once approved, the award is paid into the next available payroll and the HR team will prepare certificates for collection or posting.

Tax-Friendly Benefits


Our pension scheme is operated by Standard Life. You save 4% or more of your salary each month. We recognise the importance of saving for the future so Telent matches your savings up to 6%. For example, if you choose to pay 5%, we will add another 5% on top. If you don’t choose to join the pension scheme, and you satisfy certain criteria, you will be automatically enrolled two months after joining Telent with savings of 4% of your gross salary. By law, there is no choice about being auto enrolled, although once enrolled, you can opt out.
