Amazon Discover: Spring Technology Insight consists of a three-day, virtual insight experience and a mentoring program, aimed at students who are due to graduate in 2024, pursuing computer science or related degrees, and who are interested in software development internship opportunities in the Republic of Ireland. The event is aimed primarily at women interested in a career in technology, but is open to all, regardless of gender.
The three-day event and the subsequent mentoring program aim to develop student employability and software engineering skills, with opportunities to meet mentors and expand their professional network, and gain insight into what Software Development Engineers do on a day-to-day-basis. Attendees will have the chance to take part in coding exercises and other technical workshops, gain interview and CV writing skills, watch panel discussion on careers available at Amazon, and join virtual social events.
After the three-day event, participants will be invited to take part in a mentoring program, where students will be given guidance on how to best prepare for applying to software development engineering internship opportunities at Amazon, putting the skills learned during the event into practice.
Amazon Early Insights is scheduled to take place between 20-22 April 2022. Each day will have a packed agenda from approximately 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. GMT, with breaks throughout the day.
