Bright Network are excited to team up with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to invite 25 of our brightest students to take part in their Black Futures Insight Week. Attendees will have the chance to learn about internship opportunities available in London, Leeds and Edinburgh and how to ace the FCA's application process. Plus, you'll make connections with several industry experts within FCA.

Being offered a place on this event offers a unique opportunity to connect with a range of team members across FCA, gaining insight into the world of Regulation and the impact the organisation has across the Financial Services industry. You will hear inspiring career journeys from Black colleagues and learn from employee networks focused on diversity and inclusion. The event also includes workshops on financial literacy, CV building and creating a standout LinkedIn profile, as well as preparation for internship and graduate programme assessment centres—providing you a clear pathway to securing a spot on the 2026 Internship programme.

Who can attend?

  • You identify as Black Heritage (including, but not limited to: Black African, Black Caribbean, Mixed – White and Black Caribbean, Mixed – White and Black African, Other mixed Black Heritage background
  • You're currently in your 1st year of university in the UK
  • You're expected to achieve, a minimum of a 2:1 degree classification or higher
  • You're interested in a career within the financial sector 
  • You're interested in an internship in London, Leeds or Edinburgh
