At Grant Thornton, our aim is to build a workforce that is representative of the clients we work with and the communities we live in. Not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because we’re all at our best when we’re able to be ourselves.
We know black talent is currently underrepresented in our organisation, and sector. We want to change that. This means attracting and coaching black students through our recruitment process and creating a fully inclusive environment where black talent can progress and flourish.
We also know that some candidates from under-represented groups have less access to coaching, careers advice and mentors. This shouldn't be the case. We want to make sure everyone has equal access to careers guidance and assessment support regardless of background. This is why we are hosting a virtual insight event for black students on Tuesday 26th October at 2.30pm – 3.30pm via Zoom.
The event will provide students with:
- A chance to meet some of our senior black leaders – we want to inspire and encourage you with our stories
- An opportunity to ask questions and debate topics that are important to you with associates and leaders within our firm
- Guidance on applying for apprenticeship, undergraduate or graduate programmes – we’ll provide lots of hints and tips to help you succeed in the job market
If you are interested in a career in Accountancy or business, register to be part of the conversation and to receive guidance that will support you on your career journey.
