The Business of Being Human, is a brand-new speaker series. We welcome you to join the first online event and hear from Paralympic gold medallist Kadeena Cox, on the story of resilience and determination.

If anyone has a story to tell about resilience, determination and drive, it’s Kadeena Cox.

After suffering from a stroke in 2014 and was subsequently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, her life turned upside down. Fearlessly, she continued to follow her passion for sports and since becoming a parathlete, has competed in countless competitions and claimed a plethora of medals.

In the 2016 Summer Paralympics, she won a gold medal in cycling and sprint, becoming the first British Paralympian to win golds in multiple sports in the same Games since 1984.

In this open and honest talk, she will share her own techniques on how she overcame such adversity in life and reveal how she continues to stay focused on her hopes and dreams.

This is the first event from The Business of Being Human series, which is open to all the Imperial College London community. If you have any questions about the event, please email the Student Experience team at the Business School - ibstudentexperience@imperial.ac.uk
