About the event

In a world where AI and new technologies are posing an increasing threat to the consulting sector, how do you position yourself to be on the cutting edge and thrive in this fast-changing industry?

Join us at Imperial College Business School for our masterclass in consulting, crafted for students looking to join our MSc International Management programme in September 2019. This event is a little taster of the Leadership in Action module where students will work on live consulting project to solve a problem for a company, and then fly to the country they are based in to deliver your solution.

What to expect on the day

At the heart of the day is a fully immersive breakout consulting challenge. Working in teams, you will come up with a solution to a case study that tackles a problem facing consulting, finishing the session by presenting your solution as a group. And yes there will be a prize up for grabs!

We’ll prep you with a consulting toolkit to take on the challenge. Professor Nelson Phillips will be delivering an engaging keynote lecture on ‘what is strategy’. This will be followed by the Imperial Consulting Club who will share their tips for tackling a consulting problem. After you’ve been presented with the breakout challenge, you will also have a Pitching 101 to brush up on your skills to deliver an effective presentation.

Throughout the course of the day there will be plenty of opportunities to find out more about the programme with the people who know it best, Programme Director Jolande Bot-Vos, our MSc International Management Programme Managers, and the Executive Director of Marketing, Recruitment & Admissions.

In addition, you will find out more about careers in consulting from our dedicated Careers service, get the opportunity to tour the campus and get to network with your future classmates of the MSc International Management programme.
