Virtual Insight Evenings Midlands 2022

We will be hosting Virtual Insight Evenings in January 2022. These events will include application advice, insights from partners, Q&A sessions with trainees and a chance to network with various Shoosmiths employees.

Applications to attend are open online.

The deadline to apply is 30 November 2021.

We accept applications from any University student or graduate interested in a career in law at Shoosmiths.

What is an insight evening?

An insight evening is an opportunity for you to see for yourself what Shoosmiths is all about.

It will provide an insight into our practice areas and clients, our training contract, and the skills you need to develop to become a successful solicitor. The event will be packed with opportunities for you to meet our people, ask questions, and gain valuable advice for your training contract application.

You will hear from our current trainees who will explain what attracted them to Shoosmiths. You will also meet lawyers and partners and hear their journey from trainee to lawyer and why they chose to qualify into a certain area of law. We know you will have lots of questions, so there will be an opportunity for you to speak to everyone during the networking.

Why should I attend an insight evening?

You will have the opportunity to hear first-hand what current trainees and lawyers think about the firm. It's be a fantastic opportunity to network, get to know our people and ask our trainees about their training contract and their advice on how to apply. Most importantly, you will be able to introduce yourself to us and make a great first impression before you submit your application!

Our graduate recruitment team will be on hand to answer any questions you have about the application form or the recruitment process.

What else do I need to know?

Our Virtual events will run between 18.00-20.30. We host these in the evening, so you can fit them in around other commitments such as work or study.

Although the events are taking place virtually in 2022, we advise you to select an insight evening at the office location where you would like to complete your placement and training contract.

Whilst you’ll want to make a good impression, you won’t be assessed at the event. It’s simply a great chance for you to find out more about us and develop your networking skills.
