    The role

    This role is suitable for a graduate or junior level CASS Oversight Associate. The individual will assist the COO/CASS Oversight Manager (SMF22) in day-to-day duties. These include preparation of key CASS MI and reporting, providing support during the internal and external CASS audits and performing periodic key control reviews.

    1. Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain the CASS Resolution Pack via weekly and monthly reviews, ensuring compliance with CASS 10
    • Respond to any ad-hoc queries from the business
    • Initial review of CASS breaches reported by the firm, update the internal breach log ready for review and sign off
    • Support the maintenance of the firms CASS risk and controls mapping
    • Complete root cause analysis on all CASS incidents identified within the business, work alongside relevant teams to implement and document preventative controls
    • Ensure the firm CASS policies are reviewed annually and updated as required
    • Performance of any user acceptance testing or other system testing that is required relating to CASS activities
    • Complete periodic quality assurance to ensure automated controls are performed as intended
    • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal operational teams
    • Supporting the SMF22 with wider administration, governance, and CASS related tasks
    • Provide support for the internal and external CASS audits

    2. Management and Reporting

    • Prepare the CASS Committee pack in preparation for the monthly meeting
    • Prepare the monthly CMAR data for Senior Manager approval
    • Prepare third party due diligence reviews for Senior CASS Manager review

    3. Project Management

    • Direct hands-on project management of multiple concurrent projects
    • Report on project status and risk factors
    • Development and maintenance of a plan for all project related activity
    • Anticipate project delivery risk factors and identify effective mitigation
    • Ensure operational readiness at implementation of change
    • The project manager is also expected to carry out some business analysis on some projects

    About you

    • Educated to degree standard or equivalent relevant experience
    • Basic understanding of CASS or a willingness to rapidly learn
    • Practical application of project management methods and techniques
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Strong writing skills with the ability to analyse multiple sources of information
    • Demonstrable interest in financial services/markets
    • Ability to focus and commit to delivering against deadlines
    • Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
    • Effective communication and written skills
    • Ability to prioritise, be responsive, deal with ambiguity, and respond to changing environments
