    3M is establishing two industry-leading companies, creating value through the spin-off of its Health Care business, while 3M will continue to be a global material science leader, focusing our innovation to win in favorable global megatrends and attractive end markets.     The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

    As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

    • Undertaking a wide variety of KCI UK Customs and Trade Compliance related activities.
    • Daily communication with external logistics providers and Customs Brokers.
    • Collaborating with various local, regional and global business stakeholders to ensure compliance with Government and Customs regulations
    • Assisting in the continued development and support of KCI Medicals Trade Compliance systems and programmes.
    • Compiling reports and auditing.
    • Overseeing and ensuring all daily operational activities are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with KCI, HMRC and other UK government departmental deadlines.

    Your Skills and Expertise

    To set you up for success in this role from day one, we require (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

    • Experience in international trade is essential, primarily in Customs activities, understanding of Incoterms 2020, Tariff Classification, Preference and Customs valuation rules.
    • Must be able to competently complete accurate clearance instructions to 3rd party brokers and ideally have submitted Customs Import and/or Export declarations via stand alone Customs declaration software, ideally SAP GTS or other similar HMRC certified systems such as Descarte or Ricardo in your previous responsibilities.
    • Ability and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and processes and function under pressure
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
    • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

    Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

    • Experience of working in a SAP GTS Customs self-filing environment, completing import (CFSP) and/or export declarations via GTS is highly desirable.
    • Good standard of education is required – A-level qualification or equivalent to include as a minimum GCSE Maths and English
    • Professional training in Customs matters by a recognised organisation such as Strong & Herd, BIFA etc
    • Understanding of AEO certification and standards.
    • Ability to work confidently within a team environment.
