    An exciting opportunity to join a growing Primary Diets technical team to ensure class leading products and technical support in all of our markets (UK and overseas).

    With factories in four countries (UK, Poland, Spain and Denmark) the business aims to become an international leader in targeted markets in the nutrition for young farmed animals. The current portfolio consists of milk replacers, starter feeds, specialist raw materials, starter feed concentrates and feed additives.

    In this varied role you will support the provision of R&D, product development, technical expertise and services across mostly pig and piglet feed and supplements. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting with, building relationships and consulting with customers on farm.

    Providing technical expertise to both our commercial teams and also customers directly whilst attending conferences to speak to wider audiences. As part of this role you will have the opportunity to be involved in research trials and data analysis, including new ground breaking trials at our own centre of excellence based in Spain.

    What will you be doing

    • Develop a strong understanding of the complete AB Neo portfolio of products and their potential application
    • Provide both technical and commercial support (primarily UK but with some overseas)
    • Work as part of both the wider Primary Diets and AB Neo technical teams to deliver leading Research and Development and apply this to relevant markets
    • Represent the business by presenting at conferences, farmers meetings and other industry events
    • Attending scientific conferences and relevant trade shows to ensure Primary Diets is informed as to current thinking and developments within the industry
    • Facilitate rapid progress of technical projects through direct management of a project, or coordination of activity
    • Work with others to ensure the highest standards of feed safety

    What we’re looking for

    • Experience of working for an animal feed business in a similar nutrition/technical support role
    • Relevant scientific study at degree level would be beneficial but is not essential
    • Recent graduate looking to apply their knowledge with relevant scientific study
    • A good understanding/awareness of this market
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence across a wide ranging remit of stakeholders, customers and specialist internal teams
