This position is for a competent graduate SAP Variant Configuration/Master Data Engineer with a strong interest in SAP, product configuration and MasterData to be an active contributor to operational data, tools and systems support of the utility and industrial measurement instrumentation within a leading global multinational engineering corporation.

Your responsibilities

  • Be responsible for maintaining the master data in operations systems such as SAP, Configurator tools, Pricing tools, Product tools, Production tools and other system tools to enable the UK BL-IAMA run effectively and efficiently.
  • To provide inputs and options on system and data issues that could improve the way the BL does business and improves business automation.
  • Build close working relationships with all UK BL-IAMA business and sites as well as UK and Global IS teams for SAP, XTools, BOL, SFDC, APTTUS Configurators Etc. To become more effective in your job.
  • Estimating, planning and documenting own work at all stages of development cycles.
  • Team working, communicating with and providing technical support to other departments, although working independently if necessary.
  • Contributing to system technical specifications and accurate project plans.
  • Applying a variety of accepted technology concepts as well as having the resourcefulness to apply new methodologies and technologies.

Your background

  • Good bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering or a similar based technical subject.
  • An understanding of Master Data requirements in Products, Configurations, Materials, Production, Sales and Analysis tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, MM, PP, LOVC, iDocs, Classification, Document Management, Engineering Change Management, Product Data Replication.
  • An understanding of business processes from Quotations through Sales Orders, Purchase orders, Production Orders and Accounts settlements is a plus.
