    The role

    Currently, in continuous growth, B&R UK is looking for a Technical Support Engineer for the office in Peterborough For this position, technical training is provided and will be carried out at the Corporate Headquarters in Eggelsberg, Austria. The training aims to ensure an appropriate education to perform properly the daily activities.

    Your responsibilities

    • Supporting customers (manufacturers of automatic machines and industrial plants) in technical assistance and pre- and post-sales specialist technical support to ensure adequate technical assistance for solving problems related to products.
    • Update your knowledge of B&R products and their applications by transferring knowledge within the technical office.
    • Perform autonomously telephone technical assistance, solving product and application problems.
    • Establish relationships with customers by ensuring a smooth flow of both internal and external information.
    • Strategically organize and prepare technical activities to solve any issues.
    • Constantly collaborate with the HQ in terms of escalation of any technical problems as well as implementing and transferring innovative processes and methodologies to the customers.
    • Carry out technical training internally and externally.
    • Ensure correct reporting for all technical activities.
    • Software development in real time (for PLC and PC)
    • Reporting to the Automation Manager.

    Your background

    • Mechatronic expert or degree in automation engineering or mechatronics or equivalent experience.
    • In-depth knowledge of control theory.
    • Practice in structured programming (knowledge of C language is appreciated).
    • Knowledge of Industrial Automation products (eg PLC).
    • Basics of electronics, mechanics, and mathematics.
    • Fluent in spoken and written English.
