Abbott Toxicology have an exciting Business Support Administrator Internship opportunity to join the business for an approximately 12-month internship (starting middle of July 2022) at our site in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
About the role
The position of the Business Support Administrator works closely with the General Manager and wider Toxicology UK leadership team in order to support with administrative tasks, operational support, company communications, executive presentations, business and data analysis and project management.
The position provides an unequalled and broad exposure to confidential business operations. The primary responsibility is to ensure that the General Manager and Leadership Teams limited time is best utilised and focused on business priorities but, due to the close working relationship, the position also affords opportunity to input and advise around strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Providing general administrative support to the General Manager and Leadership Team
- Managing and inputting into business projects
- Collating and sending monthly business reports to the wider leadership team
- Supporting other departments and wider parts of the business where needed
- Organising meetings; including the agenda, location and any other requirements needed (this can be on a local or global scale)
- Creating executive and company presentations from an outline provided
- Producing business wide communications
Qualifications and education
- As per the Abbott intern programme
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint and comfortable in analysing high volumes of data
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent administrative skills
