Abbott’s diabetes care division is part of Abbott Laboratories and is one of the leading manufacturers of cutting-edge glucose monitoring systems for the home and hospital diabetes markets. Our UK operations are both R&D/Manufacturing at our state-of-the-art facility in Witney (Oxfordshire), and Sales, Marketing and Commercial functions based out of Maidenhead, supported by many field-based teams.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience and insight into how a large commercial business operates. Primarily supporting our sales director and his team you will learn to use data to enable sales teams to achieve their goals.
Your experience will include meaningful work, access to senior leadership and career development. With a focus on salesforce excellence, you will be involved project work that includes capturing and presenting user attitudes with Marketing, Podcast creation and editing with Market Access, Dashboard creation using the CRM system to provide clear business insights.
This opportunity also offers an analytical review of our learning systems and their utilisation. In addition, you will have an opportunity to support with competitor analysis, and other projects, with your ideas for innovation being welcome!
About you
This opportunity is suitable for a student studying towards a degree (Bachelors or Integrated Masters) in a Business, Marketing or an IT related topic, and would form part of a year in industry requirement. You will be confident at working independently as well as part of a team, demonstrate a creative flair whilst balancing this with ability to work in a process-based environment, and offer a people-focused mindset. Strong skills in Excel are required, and experience of a CRM or PowerBI are advantageous but not essential.
Throughout the placement, you will have regular opportunities to learn, develop, grow and of course gain continuous feedback, coaching and mentoring to further support your learning. This role will be based from our Maidenhead site.
