We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Management Accountant to join our Finance team, based at our Hub in Colchester.
The role
This position supports the Financial Control team with tasks including journals, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and statutory reports.
You will collaborate with the wider finance team to gain knowledge and insight into the importance of finance in driving business success. You will also improve your understanding of accounting standards and work towards an ACCA accounting qualification.
Duties include balance sheet reconciliations, posting journals, producing forecasts, preparing CIS returns, analysing PSAs, controlling prepayments, assisting with audits, providing evidence for tax returns, managing invoices, and assisting with ad hoc finance tasks.
What we are looking for
We are currently interested in hiring a graduate for a position within our finance team. The ideal candidate should possess teamwork skills, as well as the ability to independently solve problems and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills.
We prefer candidates with a minimum of a 2.1 degree and a demonstrated passion for a career in finance, along with a commitment to completing the ACCA qualification. To succeed in this role, we are looking for people who can bring our four values to life in your everyday work:
