Please note this is a full-time role but we are open to applications from those who wish to work on a flexible and/or job share basis. In some instances, we may be able to consider part time working. Our working practices may develop and flex over time, but for the time being we are working in a hybrid way on the basis of at least 40% of our time worked in the office.
We welcome applicants who are new to insurance – as well as those with experience in the industry.
What’s the job?

Commission data requests to ABI members, chase outstanding requests, quality assure data supplied and resolve data concerns, aggregate data and produce results for inclusion in statistical publications.
Complete research on the insurance and long-term savings industry and liaising with member companies to gain an insight into trends shown in the data we collect.

Participate in the running of the Statistics Helpdesk, help run the Statistical Subscription Service and ensure statistical information on the ABI website is up to date.
What skills do you need?
Technical knowledge – you’ll need strong numerical reasoning skills and ability to conduct data analysis and interpretation.
Excel skills – we’ll test your knowledge of Microsoft Excel at interview. Keep in mind you’ll need intermediate knowledge of common data manipulation and aggregation functions to complete this, but we do set the assessment open book.
Communication skills – we’ll look for excellent written communication along with the ability to manage relationships with others effectively.
Prioritisation and organisation – with support from your team, you can navigate a busy workload and handle multiple tasks.
In return, we offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a fast-moving and friendly environment at the trade association for one of the UK’s biggest, most successful industries.
