Consulting, Technology & IT Infrastructure

Accenture is a global professional services company with leading capabilities in digital, cloud and security. Combining unmatched experience and specialized skills across more than 40 industries, we offer Strategy and Consulting, Interactive, Technology and Operations services—all powered by the world’s largest network of Advanced Technology and Intelligent Operations centers. Our 506,000 people deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity every day, serving clients in more than 120 countries. We embrace the power of change to create value and shared success for our clients, people, shareholders, partners and communities.

Technology Architect Graduate Programme

The Technology Delivery Programme allows you to choose one of two specialisations to get your career started at Accenture: Tech Architecture and Client Delivery.

Accenture Technology graduates apply critical thinking and a tech-first mindset to solve our client’s most difficult business challenges.  On the Technology Architecture programme, you will develop your tech acuity with our graduate training induction, before moving on to client projects to tackle technically complex solutions using a variety of technologies, leveraging cutting-edge innovation and making it a reality. You will be a trusted client partner, understanding client needs, defining technical requirements, and communicating how the technology solution will drive successful business outcomes.

What you’ll learn

You will grow to become an expert architect in exploring how a client’s vision is achieved through using the latest technologies. Technology does not stand still, and our Technology Architects need to develop and sustain the skills our clients demand. Our Technology Architects have been at the forefront of new approaches to modern trends such as cloud, big data, internet of things, containers and digital technologies.

Accenture offers formal training schools for Technology Architecture and associated disciplines such as Integration Architecture and Development Architecture. Accenture also supports getting cloud-certified through a variety of internal and external training opportunities.

We’ll also upskill you in the best delivery practices such as DevOps, Agile, as well as Accenture Delivery Methods.

What’s in it for you

As well as the prospect of a great career centred around improving the way the world works and lives, you will get the opportunity to work with technology experts and thought leaders whilst you continue to learn through our extensive training program. The Technology Architect programme is different for every graduate. Training, development, progression and promotion is all about you as an individual. On average our graduates remain on the programme for 24 months, however time spent on the programme will differ for everyone.

You can look forward to a competitive starting salary and a generous holiday allowance. Other benefits include a pension scheme, personal laptop, an AMEX card, private healthcare, subsidised gym membership, season ticket loan and much more besides. For a comprehensive list of all our benefits, visit our website.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

Curious about technology and how things work, you will have a keen interest in pursuing a career in technology architecture alongside any relevant extra-curricular activities. You will have some experience and have a good understanding of at least one programming language or technology. Knowledge of current technology trends and the ability to discuss their application in society at present or in the future is also desirable.

You will be able to collaborate with clients and co-workers alike, with strong communication skills to inspire others to engage in new technologies.  You will be a creative problem solver who keeps up to date with emerging technologies and will seek to become an expert in your field.  You will also need a degree in a STEM or business-related degree – (achieved or predicted).

Where you’ll work

You will be based out of our London office, however you will be delivering projects on client sites anywhere in the UK (and sometimes abroad), so you’ll need to be prepared to travel and be flexible on location.

Full information on our application and selection process can be found on our website.

We are looking for graduates who can start with us in May 2021 and places are filled on a first come, first served basis.  We receive an extremely high volume of applications for all programmes and it is sometimes necessary to close applications earlier than anticipated. We would recommend early application to avoid disappointment.

Training & development

We believe that your career is your adventure. All this training, experience and client exposure is focused on turning you into an expert in exploring how a client’s vision is achieved through using the latest technologies whilst developing and sustaining the skills our clients demand.

What you know is what we can sell to our clients. So we’ll invest in your development from your first day. And realising you need to be up-to-speed as soon as possible, we’ll make sure you have all the training you need. As well as an award-winning induction programme and a supportive graduate community within the Technology Analyst Group, you can look forward to mentoring from some of our most successful leaders. The training you’ll receive will be broad and practical. It will combine sessions that focus on critical soft skills as well as the technical skills you’ll need to develop into a trusted and successful Technology Architect.

All training will help you get the all-round skills for success, but it will be your experience that will really make the difference, which is why the variety of live project work we’ll give you will be so important.

In addition, Accenture offers formal training schools for Technology Architecture and associated disciplines such as Integration Architecture and Development Architecture, so you’ll have the opportunity to gain a formal industry-recognised Technology Architecture certification.

The Technology Analyst programme is different for every graduate. Training, development, progression and promotion is all about you as an individual. On average our graduates remain in the programme for 24  months however time spent on the programme will differ for everyone.
