    Unlocking Potential: Social Impact Week

    At Accenture we want to nurture and support undiscovered talent and create valuable career opportunities for young people who may not have had access to professional connections or experience. Therefore, we would like to encourage final year or graduated university students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds to join our virtual 5-day Social Impact Week experience, which has been designed to give you industry work experience and enhance your employability skills, enabling you to be more confident and prepared for the working world.

    You’ll have the opportunity to –

    • Gain valuable career insight by collaboratively working on a case study challenge with the support of experienced mentors guiding you through workshops
    • Develop soft skills relevant to the workplace as well as data skills through sessions that will aid your professional development
    • Get a unique look at what it’s like to work for a company like Accenture and gain skills that will give you a well-rounded insight into the consulting and technology industry
    • Meet new people, giving you the opportunity to network and build key contacts
    • And finally, if you are a good fit for Accenture, you’ll have an opportunity to attend an assessment centre for our Consulting Graduate Programme for a position starting in Feb, March or May 2023.

    Where you’ll work

    This is an entirely digital experience. You won’t be expected to commute / or travel to any Accenture offices. All you’ll need is your laptop!

    What we’re looking for

    To be eligible you will:

    • You will need to be a final year student, or graduate
    • You will need to be on track to successfully complete your bachelor’s degree (no grade requirements) or have already achieved this

    And you fulfil one of the following criteria:

    • You were eligible for Free School Meals during your secondary education (i.e. household income has been less than £16,190 in England or £16,105 in Scotland)
    • You were eligible for a 16-19 Bursary or Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) during your secondary education (where household income is less than £24,421)
    • You receive a low-income scholarship, grant, or bursary from your university
    • You hold refugee or asylum status
    • You have spent time in care or you have been a young carer during your secondary education
    • If you would describe yourself as coming from a lower socio-economic background, e.g. with regards to the type of school you mainly attended between the ages of 11-16, the highest qualification achieved by your parents/guardians/carers by the time you were 18, or the main occupation of your parents/guardians/carers

If your application is successful, you will be asked to complete online assessments using the Accenture Discovery Portal. Once complete, you will be notified if you’ve been successful and be invited to join the 5-day Social Impact Week experience.
